DRS pros have 25+ years of experience. We have spent our careers managing complex property damage losses. This is especially true when insurance and federal funding play a role.
As Project Managers, DRS:
- Defines the scope of damages and repair work through detailed cost estimates;
- Prepares cost schedules for completed work and estimates for work to be done;
- Determines wind and flood damages;
- Identifies special flood hazard zones;
- Identifies hazard mitigation proposals;
- Offers risk analyses of environmental and historic preservation issues;
- Identifies needed code and standard upgrades; and
- Assesses industry best practices with policy and regulatory implications.
Many of our team members worked as FEMA “PA TACs”, providing technical support for FEMA disaster operations throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities include conducting site assessments, writing damage descriptions and dimensions (DDD) and scopes of work (SOW) to repair/replace damaged public infrastructure, and developing cost estimates for the federal funding of those projects.
The DRS team has also monitored construction to ensure compliance with approved SOWs and FEMA policies.
DRS personnel are experts in FEMA’s Cost Estimating Format (CEF). We use RSMeans and Xactimate estimating tools to support project work.
